Differences between American and British English

One difference between American and British English is spelling of some words, for example:

·         Words ending in -or (American) -our (British) color, colour, humor, humour, flavor, flavour etc.

·         Words ending in -ize (American) -ise (British) recognize, recognise, patronize, patronise etc.

Also there are also a few differences in the use of prepositions for example:

·         American English:  on the weekend           British English: at the weekend

·         American English : on a team                       British English:  in a team

·         American English:  please write me soon   British English - please write to me soon

Kick Off and Words at Work

For me the most correct point is the first, because I think that globalization is a tool very important for people in the world. It has brought immense benefits that help to do different works easily and quickly

The comment “How noble is global?” explains that the globalization has incremented the development in many Asian and Latin countries. Costa Rica is example of  this topic, in Costa Rica the communication between people using technology tools like Internet  for example , is fast and secure and it help to companies to provide better customer services and lower production costs.

But also the globalization has bad aspects for example the environmental pollution, the devices  that help to people in the daily tasks like computers or printers produce a lot of pollution because when it are discarded the parts of these devices last a long time to disintegrate. Other example of the pollution is in the comment of the book; this example indicates that one passenger journey produces as much pollution as a family car in one year.

The globalization is a good tool that helps a lot of but the people should learn to use it for obtain better benefits and not destroy the planet.

Keep your eyes on the stars and your feet on the ground

This proverb is interesting for me because it make a comparison between people´s dreams and reality.

People can to dream with good things like luxurious house or expensive car, for example, but they must know that for to obtain the things, they must work and to strive a lot of.

I interpret this proverb how that I can dream or think in things or feelings like are presented in fairy tales or in the society, but for that is necessary keep the feet on the ground and work a lot of  for  to obtain the things that I wish.

I think that an example of this proverb in my life was when I bought my notebook because the machine was very expensive but with actions like work and saving money I could buy the computer that I dreaming.

Impact of social networking in my friends, classmates, coworkers and me

The impact of social networking is very high in the humanity; it has changed the form of to live of people.

Currently the social networking is used for different activities that people do, for example shopping, work, travel and other different activities.

Some examples of how social networking has impacted in our lives are:

·         Application in the business: The social networking is tools for to interact between customers and the companies that sell products and services. In these moments the companies used of social networking for publicity and thus communicate with all people of the world.

·         Communication: Any person can communicate with their friends, family and coworkers in any part of the planet of form easy and cheap.

·         Protection of environment: Currently the social networking helps to protect the environment with ads of protection of the endangered animals and conservation of natural resources.

·         Application In employment and unemployment:  The companies present opportunities of work for different people through of this tool, for example ads of vacancies and the requirements in a determinate job.

The social networking also has bad things like:

•  The children can to talk with unknown people that can to cause problems.
• Promote the violence, calling a lot of people to do acts that threaten the liberty
